9-€-Ticket von Juni bis August // 9 € ticket from June to August
Vom 1. Juni bis einschließlich 31. August gibt es das 9-€-Ticket, mit dem der bundesweite Nahverkehr nutzbar ist. Studierende müssen nichts dafür tun, das 9-€-Ticket zu bekommen, das Semesterticket gilt in dieser Zeit als 9-€-Ticket.
– Mit dem Ticket ist in ganz Deutschland der Öffentlichen Personennahverkehr nutzbar. Das schließt alle Busse, Bahnen, Straßen-, U- und S-Bahnen außer den Fernverkehr (also nicht ICE/IC/EC, Flixtrain, Fernbusse) ein.
– Eine Fahrradmitnahme ist nicht enthalten – im Berliner ABC-Bereich ist Fahrradmitnahme aber weiterhin kostenlos.
– Die Art der (anteiligen) Rückerstattung des Semesterticketpreises steht noch nicht fest. Wir befinden uns hierzu noch in Gesprächen mit der Uni und dem VBB und werden uns zu gegebener Zeit darüber informieren.

From June 1 up to and including August 31, there is the 9-€-Ticket, with which the nationwide local transport can be used. Students do not have to do anything to get the 9-€-Ticket, the Semesterticket is valid as a 9-€-Ticket during this time.
– You are allowed to use local and regional public transport throughout Germany. This means that you can use all buses, trains, trams, U-, and S-Bahn except long distance transport (no ICE/IC/EC, Flixtrain, long distance buses).
– Carrying of a bicycle is not included – nonetheless, in the Berlin ABC zone you can still carry a bike for free.
– The way of (partial) refunding of the semester ticket’s price is not yet clear. We’re continuing discussions on that matter with the university and the VBB. We will get back to you about that as soon as possible.
